"Our over 120 day A/R bucket had continued to increase as patients had become more reluctant to pay their portion of their debt. Escallate came up with a solution for us - a 3rd Party Pre-Collect Program. For a low flat fee, we were able to send our accounts through the pre-collect program which has effectively increased our internal collections. The program has been a big success - approximately 60% of the accounts are either paid in full or resolved to our satisfaction - either by being paid, obtaining insurance information so that we can bill the carrier, or by having the patient contact us to set up a payment plan. We now achieved a reduction on our over 120 A/R bucket, we have been able to reduce our internal costs (which has in itself almost paid for the program) and we have increased our cash flow while reducing our bad debt expense.
